I. Continuing to build the school affairs research database

    a. School affairs indicator dashboard system: Using this platform as the basis, taking Chung Yuen University’s positioning as “student-oriented; an excellent university with the mission of teaching, research and service” as the idea, integrating the spirit and characteristics of Chung Yuen, as well as internal and external resources and school performance, etc., In addition, considering the importance of Internet public opinion for the enrollment of various academic systems, the collection of student opinions in the school, and public comments, the school affairs indicators are planned as the Central Plains Spirit, Central Plains characteristic courses and activities, students and alumni, school resources, off-campus achievements, and Central Plains characteristic resources. A total of 140 indicators have been completed in the six major theme blocks.

    In order to fulfill our social civic responsibility, we plan to regularly publish Chung Yuan University’s annual accountability report, and cooperate with the needs of the Ministry of Education to subsidize universities to improve the school’s professional management capabilities and respond to the Ministry of Education’s promotion of various competitive programs that require school performance as evidence Make basic requirements.

    Through the integration of school affairs research data into the intelligent platform, the school affairs accountability report has been completed electronically, which can be used by users for online real-time query. In the 2017 annual accountability report, a written report was printed in the second cycle of school affairs evaluation for the reference of on-site committee members. Subsequent announcements will be made in electronic version and a small amount of written form on the school information disclosure webpage of the school, so that the public, parents of students, potential students and other interactive parties can understand the operation and development of the school through objective data.

Sub-project 1: Using big data to analyze the learning outcomes and problems of economically disadvantaged students

    This study aims to explore whether there are significant differences in the appearance and learning outcomes of economically disadvantaged and non-economically disadvantaged college students. This study integrates the relevant data of 103-106 years of economically disadvantaged students scattered in various business units of Chung Yuan University for big data analysis. There are various associations in university life. With the concept of student self-government and the spirit of serving classmates, they cultivate students’ democratic and legal literacy and leadership skills, protect students’ rights and interests, improve students’ well-being, and create a good learning and living environment on campus.
